The Precision Water Management Lab in the Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department at the University of Florida is hiring a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team under the leadership of Dr. Vivek Sharma.

This exciting position is funded by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) and focuses on modeling leaching rain events across different soils and climates to better understand their impacts on water quality, irrigation, and drainage.

Key Highlights:

Work with rainfall simulators and hydrological models for Florida soils
Collaborate across disciplines on water infiltration and nutrient transport
Develop site-specific solutions using strong programming skills (Python, R, etc.)
Publish impactful research in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Agricultural & Biological Engineering, Hydrology, Soil and Water Resources, or related field
Solid background in soil physics, hydrological modeling, GIS, and data science
Experience in fieldwork, scientific communication, and collaborative research
